MULTAN, Oct 22 (APP):Punjab Ombudsperson’s Multan Regional Advisor Mahmood Javed Bhatti said on Wednesday that the Provincial Ombudsperson’s institution was actively engaged in resolving public complaints against the maladministration of provincial departments under the ‘Justice at Doorstep’ initiative across the province.
He expressed these views while hearing complaints of the people at an open court at municipal committee office after addressing an awareness seminar at government graduate college for boys in Shujaabad.
During the session, Advisor Bhatti personally listened to citizens’ complaints and assured them of swift resolution. He was accompanied by Advisor-II Waqar Hussain.
Mahmood Javed Bhatti said that citizens can register complaints without requiring a lawyer and that their issues are resolved within a short time frame.
He further stated that complaints can also be submitted by post to any regional or head office in Lahore, and applicants are informed about the hearing schedule via SMS notifications on their mobile phones.
Highlighting the vision and mission of the Provincial Ombudsperson Punjab, Bhatti said that regional offices across the province are actively working to deliver accessible and speedy justice to citizens at their doorsteps, in line with the Ombudsperson’s policy of serving the public efficiently.
A large number of citizens attended the open court and registered their complaints on the spot.
Other officials Muaz Hassan Bakhtiar and Mubashir Hassan from the Regional Office of the Ombudsperson Punjab were also present.
