MULTAN, Oct 21 (APP):In a landmark public service initiative, the Punjab government has launched a Mobile Police Station and Licensing Unit aimed at bringing essential policing and licensing services directly to citizens’ doorsteps.
The mobile unit, which will be operational on October 22, 2025, at Women University, Katchery Road, Multan, from 11 a.m., will provide facilities for FIR registration, issuance and renewal of driving licenses, including learner, regular, international, and women’s licenses.
City Traffic Officer (CTO) Muhammad Kashif Aslam will attend the event as a special guest.
According to officials, the initiative is part of the Punjab government’s broader strategy to enhance public access to police and traffic services, especially in areas where such facilities are limited.
The Mobile Police Station and Licensing Unit is designed to extend the reach of law enforcement agencies, simplify service delivery, and strengthen community trust by ensuring quick and hassle-free access to essential policing and licensing facilities.
