LAHORE, Nov 03 (APP): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has fulfilled his pledge to support the families of Punjab Police martyrs by providing a house worth Rs13.5 million to the family of Shaheed Traffic Assistant Rashid Nazir.
The house, purchased in Haroonabad, Bahawalnagar, was bought in accordance with the preferences of Rashid Nazir’s family. The Punjab government released the funds for the house thanks to the dedicated efforts of IGP Dr. Usman Anwar.
Traffic Assistant Rashid Nazir tragically embraced martyrdom in 2024 during a traffic accident while performing his duties. He is survived by his wife, one son, and three daughters.
Paying tribute to the ultimate sacrifice made by the martyred officer, IGP Usman Anwar expressed deep respect for Rashid Nazir’s courage and commitment to his duty. “Rashid Nazir laid down his life in the line of duty, showing exceptional dedication and bravery. Punjab Police takes immense pride in the legacy of more than 1,700 martyrs, and we remain fully committed to ensuring the welfare and well-being of their families,” said Dr. Usman Anwar.
