LAHORE, Nov 15 (APP): Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan said on Saturday that the Punjab government had revamped the rural health system and improvement and construction projects for hospitals in Lahore and other cities were also underway.
He said this while addressing the convocation of Allama Iqbal Medical College here.
He said that Allama Iqbal Medical College holds a distinguished place in the field of medicine, and the hospital associated with it had rendered exceptional service to the public.
Expressing concern over the exploitation of the public at the hands of quacks, he said that indiscriminate action must be taken against them.
Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan appreciated the performance of Khawaja Salman Rafique and his team, stating that positive initiatives in the health sector were ongoing but more efforts were required to improve the health system.
