Punjab govt. distributes 47 wheelchairs, Assistive devices to special persons in Attock

ATTOCK, Nov 27 (APP):Under the special directives of Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif and the guidance of Provincial Minister for Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Mal Sohail Shaukat Butt, the Social Welfare Department Attock organized a dignified ceremony for the distribution of 47 wheelchairs and various Assistive devices among special persons.
According to APP correspondent, member National Assembly Sheikh Aftab Ahmad graced the ceremony as the chief guest. Addressing the participants, he said that the Punjab government is giving top priority to the welfare of persons with disabilities and is taking practical steps to facilitate them.
He added that special persons are an integral part of society, and it is the government’s responsibility to fulfill their needs and ensure their inclusion.
Officials of the Social Welfare Department stated that the ongoing campaign aims to provide necessary facilities to special persons, ease their mobility, and enable them to play an active role in society on equal grounds. During the event, wheelchairs, walkers, hearing aids, and several other Assistive devices were handed over to deserving individuals.
Parents and recipients expressed gratitude to the Punjab government and district administration for this supportive initiative.
Addressing the gathering, the guests appreciated the efforts of the Social Welfare Department Attock and said that such initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to improving the lives of special persons through meaningful and practical support.
The ceremony concluded with a prayer, and participants reaffirmed their resolve to continue efforts for the welfare and empowerment of special persons in the future as well.
