Punjab govt appoints Dr. Ehsan Ghani as CEO Health Authority Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, Jul 12 (APP):The Government of Punjab’s Health and Population Department has made key transfers of senior medical officers as part of a reshuffling of various District Health Authorities (DHAs) across the province.
Dr. Muhammad Asif Arbab Khan Niazi, Additional Principal Medical Officer and Chief Executive Officer (DHA), Rawalpindi, has been transferred and appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (DHA), Lahore, replacing Dr. Zohaib Hassan who has been directed to report back to the Health and Population Department.
Dr. Ehsan Ghani, Additional Principal Medical Officer and District Health Officer (Preventive Services), Rawalpindi, has been transferred and posted as Chief Executive Officer (DHA).
Dr. Ehsan, while talking to APP, affirmed that he would put his energies into the best outcomes in the district to provide a healthier environment for the citizens. He said that the health authority has a robust and dedicated team that has shown tremendous performance during major challenges the city has faced, including the dengue issue and polio eradication campaigns.
“I will take full advantage of the Pindi’s top professionals and health workers of the health department by deployment-surveillance strategy to come up with the Punjab government’s health vision”, said the new CEO.
He further reaffirmed his strong collaboration with the media in highlighting awareness among the masses.
“Media is one of the core partners of the health department that has been playing an important role spreading our initiatives and identifying the areas seeking DHA’s special focus”, he said adding that soon he would arrange a meet up with journalists covering the health department.
Dr. Ghani appreciated the hard work and dedicated professionalism of his predecessor Dr. Asif Arbab Khan Niazi who has been transferred to Lahore in the same position and challenges.
Dr. Asif has been famous in Rawalpindi for rendering his services in a dynamic way to meet diverse challenges during his tenure as CEO Health Authority. His indoor and outdoor activities, assertive approach and strong liaison with the media put him in high regard.
“I have tried my best to deliver at a maximum level of success, and the credit goes to Pindi’s professional team that has always shown outstanding performance. I am especially grateful to the media for its great support”, said Dr. Asif Niazi.
Other transfers made by the Punjab government include Dr. Shahbaz Ahmed as Chief Executive Officer (DHA), Faisalabad, with additional charge as Medical Superintendent, Government General Hospital Samanabad, Faisalabad. Dr. Soban Zia as Chief Executive Officer (DHA), Multan, while Dr. Muhammad Shahbaz has been directed to report to the Health Department. Dr. Muhammad Saqib Munir will continue as Chief Executive Officer (DHA), Chiniot.
