Punjab Food Authority imposes fine of Rs. 159,000 over violations

CHINIOT, Jul 30 (APP): On the orders of DG Punjab Food Authority Muhammad Asim Javed, operations against the adulteration mafia are continuing without fear or danger.
Deputy Director Operations Dr. Muhammad Qasim Raza said that a campaign to check milk trucks by setting up blockades on the city’s entry and exit routes and inspecting milk shops and milk collection centers is also underway and more than 100 liters of adulterated milk were destroyed during various operations. He said that inspections were conducted at 112 points across the city to check the quality of basic necessities and a fine of Rs. 159,000 was imposed for violation of laws.
Poor sanitation arrangements were found during the checking of food points. During the inspection, 3 kg of smelly meat was recovered and destroyed.
