The minister said the mega national sports event was held in Karachi from December 6 to 13, 2025, and described Punjab’s medal-winning performance as a source of pride for the entire nation.
Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said the Punjab contingent performed admirably under the leadership of Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry, adding that the success was the result of hard work by athletes and professional training provided by Punjab coaches during 12-day training camps at Nishtar Park Sports Complex. He said several Punjab athletes who received scholarships under the Punjab Sports Endowment Fund also clinched medals in their respective disciplines, reflecting the effectiveness of government-backed athlete support programmes.
The minister added that both male and female athletes from Punjab demonstrated outstanding skills during the Games. He said the Punjab government was providing modern facilities and quality training to players, adding that the impressive results affirmed the province’s sports development policy.
