LAHORE, Oct 06 (APP):The Punjab government on Monday approved the expansion of the school meal program to 10 additional districts across the province. According to sources from the Punjab School Education Department, the program will be launched in Bhakkar, Mianwali, Layyah, DG Khan, Rajanpur, and Muzaffargarh. Additionally, the program will cover Chiniot, Rahim Yar Khan, Lodhran, and Vehari.
Under this initiative, free meals will be provided to children from classes 1 to 5, aiming to improve nutrition and support student attendance.
Furthermore, the Punjab Education Minister announced that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the construction of Danish schools in Sarai Alamgir and Phul Nagar to further enhance educational opportunities in these areas.
