MUZAFFARGARH, Jan 16 (APP):The Punjab Land Revenue Authority (PLRA) has started working on a major upgrade under Punjab Urban Land System Enhancement (PULSE) project in Muzaffargarh that would mark the end of ‘combine Khewat’ and enable individuals to have their separate ‘Khewat’ numbers and maps of their respective urban immovable properties.
Deputy commissioner Qurat-ul-Ain Memon, who chaired a meeting here Thursday, said the full upgrade under PULSE project would remove lacunae in the system and ensure revenue record correction.
Assistant Director PLRA Muzaffargarh Shakeel Ahmad said that work on the PULSE project began on Thursday in the district and its full enforcement would mean every individual would have his/her own ‘Khewat’ number of urban property by 2028.
The DC said that the system upgrade would make official work easy and bring relief to people. ADCR Dr Abida Fareed, AC Muzaffargarh Irfan Hanjra besides other officials were present.
PULSE project is being executed by Board of Revenue with the technical and financial support of World Bank for establishment of a unified central database of all types of urban properties (societies / authorities / development agencies), rights and charges. It would meet the future needs of the people in efficient way, according to PLRA Web site.
