Public transport fares reduced

LAHORE, Jan 01 (APP): Due to decrease in petroleum product prices, the Punjab Transport Department has reduced the fares of public transport buses going from Lahore to other cities. Under the new policy, the fare has been reduced from Rs 60 to Rs 200 to make travel easier and cheaper for citizens.
According to the new policy, the fare from Lahore to Islamabad has been reduced from Rs1910 to Rs1850, for Murree from Rs2370 to Rs2290, for Peshawar from Rs2610 to Rs2530 and for Mansehra fare has been reduced from Rs2500 to Rs2420.
Likewise, the fare for Abbottabad has been reduced from Rs2310 to Rs2240, for Faisalabad from Rs1010 to Rs980, for Sadiqabad from Rs2510 to Rs2430, for Karachi from Rs5800 to Rs5620, for Sukkur from Rs3510 to Rs3400 and for Multan from Rs1700 to Rs1650.
According to the Transport Department sources, the aim of this move is to make inter-district travel more convenient and economically less burdensome for citizens. It should be remembered that the government, giving good news to the people suffering from inflation on the arrival of the New Year, has announced a major reduction in the prices of petroleum products. According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs. 10.28 and the price of high-speed diesel by Rs.8.57.
