PTI to wipe out PPP from Sindh in next general elections: FM

MULTAN, Jul 02 (APP): Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Friday expressed the optimism that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would wipe out Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) from Sindh in the next general elections on account of performance.

During his visit to different union councils of his constituency, he said that the PPP was no more the party of Zulifkar Ali Bhutto and now it had turned to be the party of Asif Zardari.

He said that current PPP leadership had put the ideology of ZA Bhutto aside and added PPP had been ruling the Sindh for the last 13 years, but the condition of the interior Sindh was pathetic and miserable.
He said corruption was reportedly on peek in Sindh and added that there was not even a single department in the province where it had been checked.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi observed that the country had been facing crisis when PTI assumed the power and said the government had to take tough decisions to overcome these challenges for making it economically stable, according to a news release.

He said that the country had been put on path of growth with the Blessing of Almighty Allah and hoped that there would be prosperity and job opportunities for the youth in the days ahead.

He said overseas Pakistanis were the real asset of the country, adding the PTI government was striving to make them part of the political system by ensuring the right to vote for expatriates

He said that different development projects were being completed to strengthen the economy adding China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would bring about revolution. He said that the government attached great importance to the merit as it was the vision of Prime Minister, Imran Khan.

About the ongoing development projects of Multan, he informed that these would be accomplished in time and the city would be brought at par with the developed cities of the country. He said that the PTI would win the next general elections on the basis of its performance and development projects.

The foreign minister said that Pakistan enjoyed good ties with United States and added that it wanted cordial relationship with US on equality basis.

Regarding peace in Afghanistan, he said that sustainable peace was a top priority of Pakistan since whole region would benefit from it. He said the onus of peace and tranquility in Afghanistan was with its leadership and added Pakistan was looking for trade with Afghanistan and the new bilateral agreements could bring it to the next level.

Meanwhile, Shah Mahmood Hussain Qureshi spent a busy day in the city by paying visits to different ongoing development projects. He also offered Fateha and condolences to families of different party workers who died recently.

During his visits to development projects, Qureshi directed officers concerned to ensure early completion of the projects and warned that no negligence would be spared in this context.

The foreign minister was accompanied by CM Advisor Haji Javed Akhtar Ansari and other local leaders and party workers.
