PSER survey accelerates in Bahawalpur to strengthen welfare, transparency

BAHAWALPUR, Nov 06 (APP):A meeting regarding the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) survey was held in the committee room of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Bahawalpur, under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner General Muhammad Tayyab.
The meeting reviewed the latest progress of the PSER survey being conducted across the district and received a briefing on the performance of the field teams. During the meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Muhammad Tayyab distributed tablets and survey kits among 45 field enumerator teams to further enhance the efficiency, speed, and digital accuracy of the ongoing survey process.
In his address, Muhammad Tayyab stated that the Punjab government has launched this important initiative to develop a comprehensive and accurate database of all families’ socio-economic conditions across the province. He added that the project aims to make welfare programs more transparent, effective, and people-centered, ensuring that government assistance reaches deserving citizens efficiently. He emphasized that the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry Survey will serve as a milestone for public welfare and that citizens’ cooperation is vital for its success.
The meeting was informed that 430 teams are currently working on the survey in Bahawalpur, and after the addition of new supervisors, the total number of teams has increased to 475. It was further noted that the PSER survey is being conducted simultaneously throughout the province. Based on the collected data, the Punjab government plans to improve the delivery of various welfare schemes, including the Ration Card, Sehat Card, Himat Card, Kisan Card, Livestock Card, Heart Surgery Program, Minority Card, Educational Scholarships, Roshan Gharana Solar Program, E-Bike Scheme, Dhee Rani Dowry Program, Apni Chhat Apna Ghar Scheme, and the Asaan Karobaar Scheme.
District Manager PSER Dr. Aamir Mushtaq appealed to the public to fully cooperate with survey teams, provide accurate information, and trust that their data remains secure under the supervision of the Government of Punjab. The meeting concluded with the resolve that the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) will serve as a strong foundation for transparent policymaking, effective welfare planning, and equitable resource distribution across the province.
