LAHORE, Jul 24 (APP):The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has officially launched the process to connect private surveillance cameras with its security network under chief minister’s “Safe Punjab” vision,
A PSCA spokesperson said, the initiative allows cameras installed in offices, shops, petrol pumps and business centers to be linked to the Safe City system, empowering citizens to actively contribute to creating a safer society.
Citizens willing to register can apply online at the Safe City website: pci.psca.gop.pk/survey_form. After verification, applicants will receive a dedicated app to manage their camera connections.
Safe City officials stated that only cameras authorised by their owners will be integrated, with full respect to privacy and consent throughout the process.
“The integration of private cameras will significantly strengthen the Safe City surveillance system and enhance crime prevention efforts,” spokesperson said.
