SAHIWAL, Jul 24 (APP):Additional Commissioner Coordination, Shafiq Ahmed Dogar here on Wednesday said provision of clean drinking water was the responsibility of the district administration.
Chairing a meeting to review performances of Municipal Corporation and Punjab Intermediate Cities Improvement Investment Programme (PICIIP), he directed to check quality of water and repair faulty filtration plants in the city in order to control water borne diseases.
The additional commissioner also directed to complete under-construction Collage road till September, 20 to facilitate the people.
He directed to concerned departments to make all streetlights functional and take urgent measures to drain out water during rainy season.
PICIIP, City Manger, Ali Khan briefed the meeting that work on sewerage pipelines had been completed in the Farid Town and speed of construction had been accelerated on different road projects in the city.
