QUETTA, Nov 25 (APP): Provincial Election Commissioner Ali Asghar Sial presided over a meeting on monitoring arrangements for the upcoming local government elections in District Quetta.
The session was presided over by Provincial Election Commissioner Balochistan, Ali Asghar Sial, and attended by Joint Provincial Election Commissioner Syed Waseem Ahmed Jafari, Regional Election Commissioner Tahir Hassan, District Monitoring Officer Agha Samiullah, Additional Commissioner Quetta, Director Elections Abdullah, Director Admin Naeem Ahmed, and 17 monitoring officers.
The meeting reviewed preparations for the monitoring of the local government elections scheduled for December 28, 2025.
During the briefing, the Joint Provincial Election Commissioner explained in detail the monitoring framework, responsibilities of officers, and key procedures related to polling day.
He emphasized that the purpose of these guidelines is to ensure that the electoral process is conducted in a lawful, free, fair, and transparent manner.
Provincial Election Commissioner Ali Asghar Sial stressed that all monitoring teams must perform their duties with full responsibility, neutrality, and efficiency before, during, and after polling.
He said that maintaining public trust in the electoral process is essential, and effective monitoring plays a central role in achieving this goal.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the Election Commission’s commitment to ensuring smooth, transparent, and credible local government elections in Quetta.
