LAHORE, Jul 17 (APP):The Directorate of Public Instructions (DPI) Colleges has given green signal for promotion of 300 lecturers, teachers and officers associated with the general cadre, commerce and libraries of colleges across the province.
DPI senior official sources told APP that these promotions have been pending for a year.
They informed that in this connection, the Higher Education Department Punjab has issued orders to Directorate of Public Instructions (DPI) colleges to complete the promotion process, all these promotions will be for Grade 19 and Grade 20.
According to sources, the process of the relevant promotions was stalled for 6 to 12 months due to various objections and technical points, due to which the affected teachers and officers were under concern. The sources further said that many teachers and officers waiting for promotions have also retired during their service.
