KARACHI, Oct 20 (APP): Professor Imran Amin has been appointed the new Vice Chancellor of Hamdard University after Prof Dr Syed Shabib ul Hassan completed his eight year tenure on Monday.
According to Spokesperson of Hamdard University, Dr Imran Amin, a professor of Artificial Intelligence, has taken over the responsibilities during a high level meeting that was attended by the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Registrar Kaleem A. Ghias, and Deans of Faculties and Heads of Departments of Hamdard University.
Before joining Hamdard University as its eighth Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Amin was serving as Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Engineering Sciences at SZABIST University. He has over 18 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration in the fields of artificial intelligence, internet, and manufacturing.
Prof Dr Amin did his Master’s and PhD at Loughborough University, a leading university in the United Kingdom, and his Bachelor’s at the NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi.
