ISLAMABAD, Oct 16 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police’s Bani Gala police team arrested proclaimed offender Muhammad Asghar Hussain, wanted in a murder and female abduction case, during a successful operation. The accused had been evading arrest for a long time.
An official told APP on Thursday that the accused was declared a proclaimed offender by the court in connection with FIR No. 150/25, registered under Sections 302, 496-A, 148, and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). According to the complainant, Hussain opened fire on Ilyas, who later succumbed to his injuries, and also kidnapped Ms (N) Bibi, sparking the female abduction case.
Following strict directions from DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, Bani Gala Police intensified efforts to arrest the fugitive. Acting on intelligence, a police team led by Station House Officer (SHO) Nadeem Tahir, and comprising Sub-Inspector Ashfaq Ahmed, Assistant Sub-Inspector Mureed Hussain, and Constable Fida Hussain (3083/C), carried out a targeted raid and apprehended the suspect. He was shifted to the police station lock-up for further investigation.
An official told that operations against proclaimed offenders and criminals involved in heinous cases are being carried out with full force. ICT Police reiterated that no one would be allowed to remain above the law and strict legal proceedings would be pursued to ensure justice.
