DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Jun 01 (APP):In a significant breakthrough, the Dera police have arrested two suspects including a proclaimed offender during a targeted operation conducted against criminal elements in the limits of Gomal University police station.
According to police spokesman, a team of Gomal University police station led by SHO Asghar Khan Wazir, acting on the directives of SDPO Paroa Circle Sardar Alamgir Khan, conducted a successful patrol-based operation.
During the operation, Ashfaq Hussain son of Khadim Hussain, a resident of Noon area and wanted in cases of murder and attempted murder, was apprehended. A pistol along with ammunition was also recovered from his possession.
In a separate action, the same police arrested Muhammad Tariq son of Sher Muhammad, a resident of Kirri Shamozai, who was wanted in a case involving a fraudulent cheque.
District Police Officer Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada appreciated the performance of police team and reaffirmed the commitment of the district police to continue indiscriminate and sustained actions against all criminal elements across the district.
