Primary school teacher arrested for allegedly taking bribe in Bhakkar

SARGODHA, Feb 21 (APP):The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) on Saturday arrested a primary school teacher for allegedly accepting a bribe in connection with recruitment to a gardener (Maali) post in Bhakkar.
According to ACE sources,a citizen,Rafiullah,r/o Bhakkar,submitted a complaint to the Regional Director Anti-Corruption,Sargodha Region,alleging that Muhammad Aslam,a primary school teacher had received Rs.150,000 from him for arranging recruitment to the post of gardener.
The complainant further alleged that the accused was demanding an additional Rs.50,000.
Following the complaint,the Regional Director directed Circle Officer Ameer Abdullah Khan to verify the allegations and take necessary action.
During a raid conducted in the presence of a Section 30 magistrate,the accused was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting the bribe amount.
The anti-corruption team recovered the money from his possession and took him into custody.
A case has been registered and further investigation was underway.
