SARGODHA, Jan 16 (APP):Provincial Minister for Zakat and Ushr Rana Manwar Ghous Khan said on Thursday that practical measures were being taken to ensure provision of the best possible facilities in all government hospitals across the province.
He made these remarks during his visit to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Sillanwali. Addressing concerns about negligence, he said the government had announced a zero-tolerance policy to improve healthcare services.
Rana Munawar Ghous stressed the importance of ensuring presence of doctors and availability of medicines in government hospitals. The minister said that Punjab ministers were visiting various cities in Punjab to monitor hospital operations and address any shortcomings.
He also interacted with patients to inquire about the quality of services being provided. He issued strict instructions to hospital staff, warning against any negligence in delivering healthcare services. The minister met patients benefiting from medical facilities, funded by Zakat and personally inquired about their well-being. He encouraged them to report any issues related to treatment or provision of Zakat funds.
He directed Zakat officials to ensure that patients receive full range of services, provided by the department without any hindrance. He stressed that additional steps should be taken to improve the quality of life for those dependent on Zakat support.
The minister reiterated the government’s commitment to prioritising public welfare and providing the best possible healthcare facilities to the people of Punjab.
