QUETTA, Jul 30 (APP): Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Syed Imran Ahmed Shah on Wednesday said that poverty could be overcome by serving humanity with dedication to public service.
He said this during a meeting of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP).
The minister said that they were trying to create experts and professionals and not the beggars saying that the aim of the Wasila Rozgar Program is to provide assistance to more skilled people and make them responsible citizens of the country.
Earlier, the minister was given a detailed briefing by the Director General of the Benazir Income Support Program, Dr. Jalal Faiz, about the programs launched by the BISP in Balochistan.
BISP Director Munir Ahmed and Deputy Director Maqsood Ahmed Sumalani were also present on the occasion.
