Population Department orginazed three day family planning on World Day of population

LARKANA, Jul 12 (APP): On the occasion of World Population Day, the Sindh Population Welfare Department organized a three-day (family planning) camp at the *Saif Mother’s Home* on Bakrani Road, Larkana on Saturday.
The camp was set up under the directives of Provincial Health Minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho and Secretary of Population Welfare Abdul Hafeez Abbasi, in collaboration with the social organization *Weluz*.
Provincial Secretary Abdul Hafeez Abbasi visited the camp along with other district and regional officers, including Regional Director Khalid Miraj, Dr Jamila Qureshi, Dr Samina, and others, to review the facilities.
Speaking to the media, Secretary Abdul Hafeez Abbasi stated that this was the first time a three-day Family Planning camp had been organized in Larkana, where doctors from the Population Welfare Department and representatives of the *Weluz* NGO registered over 50 cases.
“Since today was the last day of the camp, we personally came to assess the arrangements,”* he said. He emphasized that rapid population growth is increasing poverty rates and urged married couples to maintain proper spacing between childbirths to ensure a prosperous life. *”If a family has four children, parents can improve their own and their children’s lives by providing better education and upbringing.” he said.
He encouraged citizens to visit Population Welfare Department centers with their spouses for free check-ups, medicines, and counseling. “Our staff is always available to serve the public,” he added.
