Police’s Meesaq Centers serve over 43,000 minority citizens in 2025

LAHORE, Jun 21 (APP): Punjab Police’s Meesaq Centers are actively providing community-focused services to members of minority communities across the province, reflecting the department’s commitment to inclusivity, respect, and interfaith harmony.
According to a spokesperson for Punjab Police, 43,633 minority individuals have benefitted from the services offered by Meesaq Centers across Punjab this year. Of these, the issues of 5,813 individuals were successfully resolved, while 36,741 citizens received various services through the integrated Police Khidmat Marakiz (Service Centers). A notable 42,565 beneficiaries expressed satisfaction with the quality and responsiveness of services provided at the centers.
In Lahore alone, 2,967 minority individuals have received support from Meesaq Centers in 2025. Of them, 250 individuals’ issues were resolved on priority, while 3,280 were served with facilitation services through the Khidmat Marakaz.
Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that Meesaq Centers are playing a pivotal role in promoting interfaith harmony and ensuring the timely resolution of issues faced by minority communities.
He added that these centers serve as inclusive platforms where the concerns of minority citizens are addressed with empathy and urgency. He further highlighted that Christian officers are deployed at Meesaq Centers to strengthen communication and build trust with minority citizens. Their active involvement ensures a supportive environment and tailored service delivery, reinforcing Punjab Police’s vision of citizen-centric policing.
