KASUR, Apr 16 (APP):The police here on Thursday seized large quantity of dead meat, arrest two suspects.
The police sources said that they had recovered around 500 kilograms of dead meat and arrested two men accused of supplying it to local markets.
According to the sources, the operation was carried out near the Rasoolpura area after Station House Officer Aslam Bhatti received a tip-off that suspects were distributing meat from dead animals.
The police team raided the location and recovered the carcasses of five animals, arresting two suspects identified as Farman and Irfan. A third suspect, Salim, reportedly fled the scene.
A case has been registered against the accused and an investigation was under way, they added.
