MULTAN, Jul 03 (APP):The Multan Police carried out a joint flag march with Pakistan Rangers across the city to ensure peace and security ahead of Muharram-ul-Haram.
The extensive flag march was led by SSP Operations Multan, Ahmad Zunair Cheema, and aimed at strengthening security arrangements and maintaining law and order during Muharram.
Senior police officials including SP City Division Mehar Saeed, SP Gulgasht Saifullah, SP Cantt Kainat Azhar, along with DSPs, SHOs, and personnel from Traffic Police, Elite Force, Dolphin Force, and Muhafiz Squad participated in the march.
The flag march commenced from Police Lines Multan and culminated at the same point after passing through MDA Chowk, Razaabad Chowk, Suraj Miani, UBL Chowk, Pul Wasal, Chungi No. 1, High Court Chowk, Khan Plaza, Imperial Chowk, Mall Plaza Chowk, Cantt Chowk and other key areas of the city.
SSP Operations, while addressing media personnel, emphasized that robust and comprehensive security measures have been put in place across the district to preempt any untoward incidents during Muharram. He reiterated the police’s commitment to protecting the lives and property of citizens at all costs.
“The primary objective of this flag march was to reinforce our readiness, enhance security visibility, and instill confidence among the public,” he stated. “We are fully prepared to deal with any attempt to disrupt peace and will not allow any miscreant elements to succeed in their malicious intentions”, he maintained.
The joint march also aimed to boost the morale of the force and send a clear message that Multan stands united in ensuring a peaceful and secure Muharram.
