MULTAN, Jul 31 (APP): Police have finalized a comprehensive security plan for the three-day Urs celebrations of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya Multani, which began today in Multan.
As per directives of the CPO Multan, Sadiq Ali Dogar, the plan has been prepared under the supervision of SSP Operations. A total of 1,150 police officers and personnel have been deployed in shifts to ensure foolproof security throughout the Urs celebrations.
Meanwhile, a dedicated control room has been set up at the CPO Office to monitor all security arrangements and coordinate responses in real time. Security personnel have also been stationed outside the residences and temporary accommodations of visiting devotees to ensure their safety, said spokesman of the police.
In preparation for any emergency situation, Rescue 1122 teams and fire brigade units have been placed on high alert.
Considering the extreme heat, Multan Police have arranged cold water at key points around the shrine to provide relief to pilgrims.
The Urs of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya is a major spiritual event in the region, and Multan Police are fully committed to maintaining peace, order, and comfort for all participants.
