BANNU, Dec 01 (APP):Unknown armed assailants opened fire within the Cantonment limits here on Monday resulting in the martyrdom of a police constable Muhammad Tariq.
According to initial police reports, a heavy contingent of police reached the scene immediately after the incident.
The martyred police constable was deployed at the office of the RPO Bannu.
He was on his way from home to report for duty when he was attacked.
Police have launched an investigation, and a search operation is underway to trace the attackers.
