Police conducts weekly general parade across province

LAHORE, Dec 15 (APP):The Punjab Police, under the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Usman Anwar, conducted weekly general parades across the province, including in Lahore, with active participation from various specialized units. Senior police officers supervised the proceedings and inspected the turnout and operational readiness of the participating personnel.
Contingents from multiple units, including Police Lines, Dolphin Force, Anti-Riot Force, Traffic Police, Mujahid Squad, Special Protection Unit (SPU), Operational Command Units (OCU), the Investigation Wing, Operations Wing, and the Ladies Police, took part in the parades.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, in addition to the parade, district officers also carried out inspections of key departments, including the Motor Transport Wing, stores, armories, and uniform depots.
IGP Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar stated that the purpose of the general parade was to keep police personnel alert while fostering discipline, unity, and a spirit of brotherhood within the force. He emphasized that the general parade represents the highest standard of discipline in any law enforcement agency and plays a vital role in maintaining physical fitness. He added that the parade reflects the rich history, heritage, and traditions of the police force.
