CHICHAWATNI, Jul 11 (APP): The police here on Thursday conducted a flag march to maintain law and order during holy month of Muharram.
Assistant Superintendent Police (ASP), Mauz ur Rehman supervised the march.
The police spokesperson said Station House Officers (SHOs), officials of Rescue 1122 and traffic police took part in the march.
The police were ready to cope with an untoward situation during the holy month, the ASP said, adding the force was taking measures to provide foolproof security to the people during the holy month and foil nefarious plans of anti-social elements.
Over 600 police personnel including lady police officials had been deployed to ensure security on Asura, the ASP added.
