LAHORE, Jul 12 (APP):The Punjab Police have intensified their ongoing search, sweep, and combing operations across the province, including Lahore, in a concerted effort to maintain law and order and crack down on criminal and anti-state elements.
According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Police, 413 combing operations were carried out during the last 24 hours, during which over 14,560 individuals were checked and 41 suspicious persons taken into custody.
In addition, 26 search and sweep operations were conducted during this period, with more than 3,155 individuals interrogated and 2 suspects detained.
The crackdown also resulted in the arrest of 247 proclaimed offenders involved in heinous crimes, 71 court absconders and 71 habitual criminals.
A significant cache of illegal weapons and ammunition was recovered from the possession of suspects and criminals during these operations.
Furthermore, 4 offenders were neutralized, and 14 others were apprehended in injured condition during police encounters across various districts.
