LAHORE, Nov 01 (APP): Punjab Police concluded the 11th batch of its internship programme with a closing ceremony held at the Central Police Office, here on Saturday.
A total of 24 students from Lahore Garrison University and Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro, participated in the six-week program.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, students from the disciplines of Digital Forensics, Cyber Security, and Forensic Biology were attached to various branches of Punjab Police, including the Special Branch, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Safe Cities Authority, Investigation Branch, and IT Branch, to gain practical experience.
During the ceremony, the interns presented reports based on their field experiences. DIG Training Munir Ahmad Zia Rao distributed certificates among the participants and appreciated their dedication. He said the internship would prove valuable for the students’ professional development and help them understand police working and field challenges.
DIG Training added that Punjab Police will continue internship programs to promote a culture of education and research, enabling young people to contribute effectively to society.
Students expressed gratitude to IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and the Training Wing for providing the learning opportunity. The event was attended by Lahore Garrison University Associate Dean Kokab Jamal Zubairi, Kausar Parveen from the Department of Criminology, and Sheroz Malik from the Department of Digital Forensics.
