RAWALPINDI, Jan 16 (APP):Rawalpindi district police in an operation arrested a drug dealer and recovered over 12 kg charras, said a police spokesman on Thursday.
He informed that acting on a tip-off, Pirwadhai police conducted an operation and arrested a drug dealer namely Asif alias Fauji on recovery of more than 12.5 kg hashish.
The accused is record holder in drug cases and also convicted in an ANF case.
The accused’s wife namely Naseem alias Kalu, daughter, two sons, two sons-in-law, two brothers-in-law, sister-in-law and other family members are also record holders and challaned in several drug cases.
Superintendent of Police, Rawal Muhammad Haseeb Raja appreciated Pirwadhai police performance and directed the police officers to accelerate operation against the criminals.
He said that Police on the directives of City Police Officer, Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Hamdani are regularly conducting raids against drug peddlers.
The arrested accused would be challaned with solid evidence, he added.
