ISLAMABAD, Oct 30 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police on Thursday arrested two members of a motorcycle theft gang and recovered five stolen motorbikes during a targeted operation.
An police official told APP that police team from Humak Police Station, utilizing modern technical tools and human intelligence, apprehended the suspects who were involved in multiple motorcycle thefts in the federal capital.
The arrested accused have been identified as Asif and Naveed, while cases have been registered against them. During preliminary interrogation, both suspects confessed to their involvement in several thefts in Humak and nearby areas. Further investigation is underway.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq stated that strict action is being taken against those involved in motorcycle theft, robbery, and street crimes, resulting in a noticeable reduction in such incidents across the capital.
He directed operational teams to intensify the crackdown against criminal elements and ensure they face legal consequences.
