RAWALPINDI, Sep 22 (APP):Rawalpindi district Police arrested 11 gamblers and recovered Rs 20,690 stake money, 10 mobile phones, a motorcycle and valuables from their possession, said a police spokesman here on Friday.
He informed that Wah Cantt police conducted a raid and arrested 11 gamblers namely Asim, Mumraiz, Abdul Akram, Abdul Raheem, Tofeeq, Riasat, Khalil, Jahanzaib, Amir Sultan, Amir and Arif, who were allegedly involved in betting while playing cards.
A case has been registered against them while further investigation is under process.
Superintendent of Police, Potohar Muhammad Waqas Khan said that gambling is the root cause of other evils and those involved in such crimes do not deserve any concession.
