MUZAFFARGARH, Jun 13 (APP):District Police Officer (DPO) Mohammad Rizwan said on Friday police have launched an operation to counter the re-emergence of dacoit gangs in the riverine (kacha) areas.
Speaking to the media, he said that the operation was initiated with the support of the Elite force. He said that an ongoing crackdown was already underway within the jurisdiction of Khairpur Sadat police station.
The officer said strict action was being taken following reports of the return of criminal groups to the sensitive riverine region. The operation would continue until the complete elimination of dacoit gangs from the area, he added.
