Muzaffargarh, Oct 15 (APP): The Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML) has played an active role in rescuing and rehabilitating thousands of people affected by recent floods across South Punjab, party leaders said at a press conference held at the central secretariat near Jhang Morr.
Engineer Haris Dar, President Muslim Youth League Pakistan, along with PMML South Punjab President Imran Liaqat Bhatti and other leaders, said party volunteers carried out extensive rescue and relief operations and continue to assist flood victims through food, ration, and winter clothing distribution.
The leaders announced that a 2,000-member convoy from Muzaffargarh will leave for Lahore on November 1 to participate in the Minar-e-Pakistan Workers Convention.
Zahid Hamdani said PMML had also begun installing clean drinking water hand pumps and preparing special assistance packages for flood-affected farmers, adding that journalists who highlighted victims’ plight deserve recognition and support.
