PML-N Women’s Wing Rawalpindi restructured; new office-bearers notified

RAWALPINDI, Nov 08 (APP): A ceremony was held here at the Muslim League House to mark the restructuring of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) Women’s Wing in Rawalpindi, where notifications for new appointments were issued to senior women leaders.
The event was attended by party leaders, parliamentarians, and senior members of the Women’s Wing. It was presided over by Member of the National Assembly Tahira Aurangzeb and attended by Seema Jilani, Punjab Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Culture Shazia Rizwan, Parliamentary Secretary for Health Asma Abbasi, Members of the Punjab Assembly Zaib un Nisa Awan and Tahseen Fawad, former MPA Lubna Rehan, and party leader Shama Firdous.
Under the restructuring, Asma Abbasi was appointed President, PML-N Women’s Wing PP-17 Rawalpindi; Zaib un Nisa Awan as Senior Vice President, and Lubna Rehan as Secretary Information, City Women’s Wing Rawalpindi; and Tahseen Fawad as President, PML-N Women’s Wing PP-19 Rawalpindi.
Speakers said the reorganisation aimed to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure and create greater opportunities for women to play active roles in political and social spheres.
They added that the initiative reflected the PML-N’s longstanding commitment to women empowerment.The ceremony concluded with leaders and workers pledging to build the Rawalpindi Women’s Wing into a dynamic and robust organisation in line with the party leadership’s vision.
