LAHORE, Jun 27 (APP): The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) on Friday organised a comprehensive training session on the e-Filing and Office Automation System (e-FOAS) for officials of the South Punjab Secretariat.
The session was chaired by South Punjab Additional Chief Secretary Fuad Hashim Rabbani, and attended by Special Secretary Communication & Works Aftab Pirzada, Additional Secretary Ghulam Abbas, and Focal Person from S\&GAD South Punjab, Engineer Iram Abbas.
The training, conducted by the PITB’s e-FOAS team, was aimed at acquainting the participants with the modern digital platform developed to streamline official processes and eliminate manual file movement in government offices.
Superintending Engineers and Executive Engineers from the Highways and Buildings Department South Punjab also joined the session online, marking broader engagement across departments.
Currently operational in the South Punjab Secretariat, the e-FOAS system is being extended to all subordinate offices in the region. The initiative represents a major shift from traditional paper-based workflows to a paperless, digital work culture in line with the Government of Punjab’s vision for e-Governance.
In his message, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf stated, “The effective implementation of e-FOAS in South Punjab will not only save time but also reduce dependence on physical files—making it an environmentally responsible initiative. Our goal is to digitize office operations across the province and promote transparent, efficient governance.”
