PHE resolves 1,019 of 1,370 public complaints

PESHAWAR, Sep 11 (APP):The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department resolved 1,019 of the 1,370 public complaints received through its complaint cell, the Chief Minister’s Complaint Cell and the Citizen Portal, while 331 cases remain pending for action.
According to a departmental report, 13 complaints were found irrelevant and seven incomplete and were disposed of in accordance with the rules.
The South Region received the highest number of complaints at 1,296, followed by the East Region with 49, North Region with 16 and Central Region with nine complaints.
The department said work was under way on the pending complaints and the relevant officers had been directed to resolve them on a priority basis.
Provincial Minister for Irrigation Fazal Shakoor Khan said timely resolution of public complaints was among the provincial government’s priorities and directed officials not to keep complaints pending unnecessarily.
He said the government was taking practical measures to promote good governance, transparency, accountability and better public service delivery.
The minister also directed the concerned officials to ensure early disposal of all 331 pending complaints and provide relief to citizens.
