PHCRP, GSM Pakistan ink MoU for improved healthcare services

PESHAWAR, Dec 23 (APP): A formal agreement was signed on Tuesday between the Primary Health Care Reforms Project (PHCRP) of the Health Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Greenstar Social Marketing Pakistan (GSM).
According to a spokesperson for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department, the objective of this agreement is to strengthen primary health care services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through a strategic public–private partnership.
This agreement is an important step toward addressing the shortage of human resources staff, improving the quality of service delivery, and enhancing access to quality health care through support to basic health units across the province.
Under this collaboration, Greenstar Social Marketing Pakistan will assist the Health Department in deploying trained medical staff at selected health facilities identified under the primary health care reforms project and in improving service delivery.
The signing ceremony was held at the Health Secretariat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The agreement was signed by Dr Syed Aziz-ur-Rab, Chief Executive Officer of Greenstar Social Marketing Pakistan, and Dr Ikramullah Khan, Project Director of the Primary Health Care Reforms Project.
The event was attended by the Provincial Minister for Health, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mian Khaliq ur Rehman, and the Secretary of Health, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shahidullah Khan. Senior management of Greenstar Social Marketing Pakistan and senior officials of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department were also present.
The ceremony concluded with a renewed commitment to improving primary health care services, marking the beginning of this joint initiative aimed at strengthening health service delivery and improving overall health outcomes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
