PESHAWAR, Jul 09 (APP):The Peshawar High Court has issued directives to expedite repair work on dilapidated Hazara Motorway, reducing the completion time-line from six to three months.
The decision came during a hearing on a petition highlighting the motorway’s deteriorating condition and its impact on commuters.
During proceedings, the petitioner’s counsel argued that extensive damage at multiple locations had made travel hazardous, causing significant inconvenience to the public.
The NHA’s Director of Maintenance had informed the court that the repair work was ongoing and would take six months to complete. However, during the hearing, the court emphasized the need for expeditious completion to provide relief to the public.
In its written verdict, the bench ordered the NHA to complete all repairs within three months and submit a compliance report to the court upon completion.
