PHA organizes special clean-up drive on World Cleanup Day
LAHORE, Sep 21 (APP):A special clean-up drive was organized at Jillani Park by the Horticulture Agency Lahore
on the occasion of World Cleanup Day.
Officers and staff of Horticulture Agency Lahore, along with teachers and students of Beaconhouse School, actively participated in the activity.Managing Director Horticulture Agency Lahore Ahmad Usman Javed was the chief guest. Additional Managing Director Rao Tasleem Akhtar and Sonia Kaleem, along with Directors Farah Deeba, Naeem Akhtar, Ahmed Saeed Manj and Waqar Rehman, and other officers were also present on the occasion.
During the clean-up drive, participants cleaned various lawns and surrounding areas of Jillani Park and collected plastic waste, food waste and other litter. Students, teachers and PHA officers and staff worked together to keep the park clean and promote awareness among citizens regarding cleanliness and environmental responsibility.
Speaking on the occasion, MD Horticulture Agency Lahore Ahmad Usman Javed appreciated the active participation of Beaconhouse School students and teachers in the World Cleanup Day activity. He said that cleanliness should not be limited to a one-day activity but must become a permanent part of our daily lives.
