SARGODHA, Oct 22 (APP):In line with Commissioner Sargodha Division Jahanzeb Awan’s directives, the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) on Wednesday launched a tree plantation drive, planting 1,200 saplings at the Canal Road dumping site.
According to the official spokesperson here, the initiative aims to reduce environmental pollution and improve the city’s ambiance by greening the dumping sites in a phased manner.
The PHA teams are ensuring regular maintenance of the saplings to promote their growth.
PHA Director General Muhammad Arshad said that trees not only improve the environment but also enhance the city’s beauty. He appealed to citizens to participate in the tree plantation drive and contribute to making Sargodha greener and more beautiful.
The PHA encourages citizens to join hands in this initiative and support the city’s beautification efforts.
