LAHORE, Jun 03 (APP):In preparation for Eid-ul-Adha, the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) launched an ambitious beautification initiative to revitalize the city’s landscape, in accordance with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
The campaign focuses on enhancing Lahore’s aesthetic appeal through vibrant decorative
lighting, fresh landscaping, and improved park facilities.
Under the initiative, major roads, underpasses, and flyovers across the city, including The Mall,  Dharampura Underpass, FC Underpass, Ferozepur Underpass, Jail Road, Gulberg, Azadi Flyover, Sattukatla, and Mian Mir Bridge, have been illuminated with colorful ornamental lights and adorned with striking decorative models. Landscaping activities such as pruning, trimming, and replanting along green belts are also underway
to restore the city’s natural beauty.
PHA Director General Umar Sher Chattha told media on Tuesday that previous year’s decorative installations had been redesigned and modernized, giving Lahore a refreshed and festive look. “These enhancements have not only uplifted the city’s appearance but have also been warmly welcomed by the public,” he noted.
The DG also announced that park cleanliness, availability of clean water, washroom maintenance, and enhanced security will be ensured during Eid holidays for the comfort of families visiting public spaces.
Looking ahead, the PHA plans to expand the beautification campaign permanently, with additional lighting and aesthetic installations to be introduced at more locations across the city. “Our goal is to make Lahore a truly bright, green, and charming metropolis,” he added.
