RAWALPINDI, Oct 15 (APP): The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Rawalpindi has accelerated its beautification drive to enhance the city’s green landscape and provide citizens with a clean and refreshing environment.

On the special directives of PHA Director General Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, extensive horticulture and landscaping work has been carried out along the green belts of Old Airport VIP Road, transforming the area into a vibrant stretch of colour and greenery.

PHA DG Ranjha said on Wednesday that the ongoing plantation and flower-bedding efforts had significantly enhanced the visual appeal of the city, adding that the blossoming seasonal flowers had become a source of delight for residents and visitors alike.

He said the Authority was striving to make Rawalpindi the most beautiful and greenest city in Punjab. He reiterated that providing citizens with a healthy and pleasant recreational environment was among the PHA’s foremost priorities.

He further directed field staff to maintain strict vigilance and ensure the timely upkeep of plants, parks, and green spaces, adding that negligence in maintenance work would not be tolerated.

“The PHA staff are working round the clock to preserve Rawalpindi’s natural charm and create spaces that bring people closer to nature,” Ranjha added.
