LAHORE, Jun 17 (APP): The Parks and Horticulture Authority Lahore has intensified its efforts to enhance the city’s parks and recreational spaces, ensuring better facilities and a cleaner and greener environment for the public.
Acting on special instructions from Director General PHA Muhammad Umer Sher, comprehensive measures are being taken to upgrade infrastructure, improve cleanliness and beautify various parks across the city. In this regard, Director Administration Saulat Hayat Wattoo conducted detailed visits to several parks, including Ghausia Park in Nishtar Colony, Usama Block Park, Bilal Park, Saroba Park, Ammar Park, Ehsan Park, Salman Block Park, Yasir Block Park and the LDA Park in Venice Housing Scheme. During the inspections, he reviewed ongoing enhancement works such as plantation drives, lighting installations, jogging tracks, lawn rehabilitation, maintenance of flower beds and improvements in water supply systems.
Saulat Wattoo issued directions to relevant officers and emphasized the importance of consistent maintenance and timely upgrades of all recreational facilities. DG PHA Umer Sher stated that the authority remains committed to providing citizens with high quality, well-maintained and green recreational spaces. He added that PHA is actively working on the beautification and infrastructure uplift of all major and minor parks across Lahore to foster a healthy and pleasant urban environment.
