SARGODHA, May 29 (APP):The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has launched a rigorous crackdown on defaulters who have failed to pay outdoor advertising and shop signboard fees in Sargodha.
According to a PHA spokesperson, the Marketing Branch has been fully mobilised to take action against non-paying shopkeepers. On the directives of Director General PHA Chaudhry Muhammad Arshad, the authority began sealing shops in key commercial areas, including Muslim Bazaar, where dozens of businesses were found to be in default.
The spokesperson stated that prior notices were issued to the shopkeepers, informing them of the pending dues. However, due to non-compliance, the PHA was compelled to initiate strict enforcement measures. The operation has been expanded across major markets in the city and will continue until full recovery of outstanding fees.
“The defaulters will not be spared,” said the spokesperson. “Shopkeepers must immediately clear their dues, including outdoor advertising and signboard fees, or face disciplinary action under the PHA Act 2012. This may include heavy fines along with the recovery of pending amounts.”
The PHA urged all business owners to comply promptly to avoid further penalties and ensure smooth business operations.
