LAHORE, Jan 03 (APP):In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for a Suthra Punjab, a healthy environment and effective smog mitigation, the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Lahore organised a special cleanliness drive at Qureshi Park, here on Saturday.
The objective of the campaign was to raise public awareness about cleanliness and to ensure that public spaces remain clean, healthy and environmentally friendly. Prominent personalities from various walks of life, including Iqbal Qureshi and Project Director Muhammad Shafiq, actively participated in the drive.
Participants took part in practical cleaning activities by collecting garbage from different areas of the park. Plastic shopping bags, leftover food items and empty bottles were gathered and disposed of properly as part of the campaign.
On the occasion, participants stressed that keeping Lahore clean and beautiful is a collective responsibility and that achieving this goal requires active cooperation from the public. Citizens were urged to take special care of cleanliness in parks, green belts and other public places to help make Lahore a clean, green and beautiful city.
